Mission Statement

Our purpose is to serve children and adults with "Special Needs" and to serve their families. We focus on those people whose disabilities may include:

  • Autism/Asberger Syndrome/PDD/FragileX Syndrome
  • ADHD/ADD
  • Down Syndrome
  • Mental Impairment
  • Physical Impairment

Our membership consists of concerned individuals and parents of special needs kids and adults to shine a light on all activities that serve the Special Needs population of the North Metro area.

We desire to inspire and enrich the experiences and growth of Exceptional People and to enhance their quality of life. We have elected to focus on four different interest areas relevant to the special population:

  • Recreation
  • Housing
  • Employment
  • Transportation

What is an Optimist Club?

  • A group of civic-minded people representing a cross section of our community.
  • Optimists believe that investing a few hours a week to mentor, educate, inspire and believe in young people can ensure a better tomorrow.
  • Volunteers in action for the good of the youth in the community.
  • People who care!
